Who uses ISS services?
Individuals, government agencies and not-for profit organisations can
contact ISS to discuss their situation confidentially and see whether ISS
can assist.
Here are a few examples of who ISS deals with:
- Government Departments, courts and lawyers who need an overseas assessment;
- Families or agencies seeking assistance in arranging and maintaining parent-child contact across countries.
- Agencies and individuals seeking official documentation, eg a birth certificate;
- Child protection and other workers seeking overseas information relating to their clients;
- Adoptees looking for a birth parent overseas; and
- Agencies and individuals seeking information and advice on international Conventions relevant to their work.
