Research, Advocacy and Training
ISS Australia provides the following services on issues emerging from and related to our social work practice.
Research, Policy Development and Advocacy
ISS Australia conducts high quality research, policy development and advocacy on issues related to our work. We use primary qualitative and quantitative data sourced from our casework and our international network, and secondary data, to assist in research on and advocacy for the needs of families and children in intercountry situations.
Training, Community Education and Capacity Building
ISS Australia provides education and training to agencies and communities wanting to know more about our services and the issues we work with, including international parental child abduction, tracing, child welfare and kinship care, and family mediation and counselling.
In addition, we work with international governments and partners to build capacity in social work and social welfare systems.
