Professional services

ISS Australia provides the following professional services on issues emerging from and related to our social work practice.

Training, Community Education and Capacity Building

ISS Australia provides education and training to agencies and communities wanting to know more about our services and the issues we work with, including international parental child abduction, tracing, child welfare and kinship care, and family mediation and counselling.

Research, Policy Development and Advocacy

ISS Australia conducts high quality and professional research, policy development and advocacy on social welfare issues related to our work. We use primary qualitative and quantitative data sourced from our casework and our international network, as well as secondary data, to assist in research on and advocacy for the needs of families and children in inter-country situations.

In addition, we work with international governments and partners to build capacity in social work and social welfare systems, with a particular focus on our Asia Pacific region.
