There is an International Resource Centre for the Rights of Children Deprived of their Family (ISS/IRC) based at the head office of International Social Service in Geneva. This Centre has a significant focus on international practises in intercountry adoption. The ISS/IRC facilitates the sharing of information and documentation, the knowledge of human and professional resources, the exchange of experience, the analysis of situation, and the promotion of global policies in the best interests of children.
