Damon has worked with ISS Australia since February 2008, leading cross-border child protection and post-adoption services, and previously managing ISS Australia’s Intercountry Adoption Service. He has also represented ISS on international missions, delivering training and workforce support in Cambodia, Vietnam, South Africa, the Philippines, and Azerbaijan.

A social worker with over 25 years of experience in child protection, adoption, and intercountry casework, Damon is a strong advocate for children’s right to be raised within their family and culture. His commitment to culturally responsive practice began in Aotearoa New Zealand, where he studied Social Work and Māori Studies and worked for a large Māori Trust.
