Our legal team recently had the privilege of attending the Allens Neota UTS Law Tech Challenge for Social Justice Grand Final evening on 16 August 2021.  After months of working closely with inspiring and talented students from UTS, an app was created to enhance our legal service work. We were so proud to see our student team present to a panel of judges and present the app with knowledge and confidence. 

The app, named ‘Ciana’, was designed to “relieve anxiousness and establish hope” for parents affected by international parental child abduction by making the process of preparing information and evidence for 1980 Hague Convention return applications less demanding.

The Legal Service looks forward to implementing the new app.
